Rev. Philip Beck

Board Treasurer
Rev. Beck is the Pastor of First United Presbyterian Church of Tarentum, serving the congregation and community since May 2001. Rev. Beck also is a co-founder of the Tarentum Friendship Garden, serves on the Commission on Preparation for Ministry for Pittsburgh Presbytery, and is the Planning Team Chairperson for Trinity Youth Conference. Rev. Beck is married, has three children and resides in Harrison Township. Rev. Beck has a passion for mission, community, and for providing food for those who find themselves to be food insecure.

Tom Yerace

Board Secretary
Tom is a retired journalist and author with more than 40 years of experience in the newspaper industry. He spent most of his career at the Valley News Dispatch and Tribune-Review as a reporter and substitute editor, and was also editor of The Herald, an affiliated weekly newspaper in the O'Hara Township-Fox Chapel area for five years. He is a 1973 graduate of Penn State University and in 2016 self-published "Hang In There Tough." Tom believes organizations such as The Building Block of Natrona are critical to bringing people together and strengthening underserved communities. Tom lives in Lower Burrell with his wife, Melanie. They are the parents of two grown sons.​

Dr. Kimberly Price, Ed.D.

Dr. Price is Principal of Highlands Middle School. Dr. Price moved to the Pittsburgh region in 2008. Previously, she taught music in public and private schools for 17 years and was the conductor of the Austin Symphony Youth Orchestra. In 2012, she earned a Masters in Music Education at Carnegie Mellon University and a Doctorate in Education at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017. Dr. Price is an avid triathlete and can often be found running through Natrona Heights or swimming at the YMCA before work. She lives with her family in the North Side. Dr. Price currently serves as a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board in Brackenridge and promotes student service organizations within Highlands School District.

Pastor Raphael K. Koikoi, Jr.

Pastor Koikoi is a United Methodist Pastor, who is Director of Ministry and Community Development with the Upper Allegheny Valley, Butler District, Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference UMC. He has spent most of his adult life involved in ministry. A graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, he has served several congregations in parish ministry. He has a passion for theology in the public space (where theory must meet praxis). He is the spouse of Bishop Cynthia M. Moore-Koikoi, current Resident Bishop of the Pittsburgh Episcopal Area of the United Methodist Church. His hobbies include hiking, biking, travel, golf, and photography. He enjoys all things ministry related, especially small group ministry. He believes that faith without works is dead (James 2:14-26) and that discipleship is a lifelong journey.

Karen Snair

Karen Snair is the Executive Director of the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches (AVAC), a community ministry that provides a variety of programs and services to those experiencing hardship, poverty, hunger and homelessness. 

Karen believes that the faith community is crucial in providing services, support and respite to those who are disadvantaged, and has served on committees and boards all over the Western Pennsylvania region to serve as a voice for them.
