Veggies for All

Picture
The Building Block of Natrona uses private donations and relationships with partners such as 412 Food Rescue to bring fresh produce and other foods directly into Natrona for free distribution to residents. 412 Food Rescue's programs help reduce food waste by saving food that otherwise would be thrown away. Natrona does not have have a food distribution center in the neighborhood. With the closest grocery nearly two miles away, the nearest bus stop about two miles away and some residents without access to transportation, Natrona truly is a food desert.

The monthly program generally offers 3-5 products (sometimes more) per adult resident at no cost. While most families are from Natrona, residents from other communities are also welcome.

Bring a bag! Bring a friend!

Veggies for All Schedule

The Veggies for All events are held on the third Saturday of each month from 1-2:30 pm.
All events are held at the Knights of Columbus hall (Council 2602)
28 Garfield Street, Natrona Heights, PA 15065

That's where we come in! The Building Block of Natrona is bridging this gap by connecting resources through the Veggies for All program. We are coordinating regular produce distributions by partnering with 412 Food Rescue and using space from the Knights of Columbus Council 2602 hall on Garfield Street in Natrona. Initially, we plan to have monthly food distributions, but we anticipate this may increase.
